Nagaloka Institute is holding regular alumni conference for last four years. The theme of the fourth alumni conference was “Towards Prabuddha Bharat: Survey and action”. The conference was held during 1-8 February 2012 and over 100 alumni participated.
- Dhammachari Lokamitra gave a series of lectures on the theme of “Prabuddha Bharat”-Enlightened India. These lectures were followed by discussions in the groups.
- Mangesh Dahiwale made presentation on relationship between Prabuddha Bharat,vision of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and democracy.
- Dhammachari Manidhamma gave a talk on “Buddha or Karl Marx”.
- Dhammachari Maitreyanath talked on “Social Transformation and Dhamma” through historical survey of TBM.
- Dhammachari Vivekratna talked on Sangharakshita’s commentary on the Sutra of Golden Light.
The conference was conducted in the retreat like setting, in which participants followed routine of meditation and Puja. The alumni from all over India made presentations on their work and difficulties involved in their work. Evening were devoted to cultural aspect of Prabuddha Bharat.
